As a senior film journalist I have personally known dynamic, visionary Vivek and his acclaimed actress-wife Pallavi Joshi-Agnihotri since past three decades. While I was appointed on the Censor Board ( CBFC), the cinema-savvy Vivek Agnihotri and I had by sheer coincidence, on the same Certifying Censor Committee for several movies. There is so much, one gets to learn and imbibe about Cinema, from very knowledgeable and outspoken Vivek.
The teaser of The Delhi Files: The Bengal Chapter, released a few months ago, offered a powerful glimpse into the film’s emotional depth. It featured veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty in a haunting first look, walking through an empty corridor with a rugged appearance and a white beard, reciting the Preamble to the Constitution with a burnt tongue.
